If it takes you 8 minutes to get round to serving a customer in your bar, chances are that they will walk out, says new research.
A new survey of 5,000 UK customers has shown that the average outlet will only wait 8 minutes for a drink or 12 minutes for food before leaving to go elsewhere.
However, the average Briton would be more patient waiting for a coffee in a coffee shop than waiting for a sandwich in a sandwich shop – 6 minutes and 2 seconds vs 5 minutes and 34 seconds.
The survey also shows that women are far more patient than men when waiting for drinks, and the North East plays host to the most patient of pub drinkers.
If you want to avoid upsetting your customers and ensure that they get that pint within 8 minutes, a mobile bar might be the answer. Oasis Bars manufacture a range of stylish yet lightweight bars that can be easily transported to the location you need – whether that be an extra bar area in a busy room, or utilising an unused space.
